To join the APL you only need to follow these three steps:
- Become a paid member of the Apples & Ginos Patreon at the APL Only, Apples, or Ginos level of membership. Make sure to connect your account to your Discord profile under the Membership tab on Patreon.
- Join the Apples & Ginos Discord Server and navigate to the #apl-registration channel
- Click “Join” on the A&Gbot message and fill out the registration form
Once you’ve completed the registration form you’re in! Keep your Discord notifications on to receive notice when you’ve been assigned your league!
Basics
To play in the Apples & Ginos Patron League (APL), you must be a current paid member of the Apples & Ginos Patreon at the APL Only, Apples, or Ginos level of membership. If you choose to end your membership at any time during the season, your team may be given to a current paid patron on the waiting list.
For this season, the APL tiered system will be constructed via registration in the Apples & Ginos Discord Server, where managers will be sorted into tiers and divisions based on their finish in the last season of the APL. New managers will be assigned to a division in the lowest tier with a chance to work their way up the tiers in subsequent seasons. The number of divisions and tiers will not be set until an accurate count of signups is obtained; however there will only ever be one Tier 1 division, three Tier 2 divisions, and five Tier 3 divisions. Below that, Tier 4 and a potential Tier 5 will be constructed based on player counts.
Bottom tier leagues will be filled until September 1st, at which point managers will be organized into leagues and invites to Fantrax drafts sent. Leagues will only be filled when another 12 managers have completed registration; until another group of 12 is established the last managers to have registered will be added to the waiting list. Managers can be added to the waiting list at any time throughout the season by completing registration, and they will be given the first opportunity to take over any team that is abandoned by its original manager.
8 hour clock slow drafts will start as soon as all 12 managers have joined the league. Slow drafts must conclude by September 26th; if a league may not achieve the deadline the 8 hour clock will be reduced to 4 hours, then 2 hrs, then 1 hour, then 30 minutes as necessary. After the draft concludes, the A&G team will build a Yahoo league with the drafted teams and send invites to each manager on Yahoo. The APL will be played on Yahoo and the Fantrax drafts will be discarded.
Managers are requested to join the Apples & Ginos Discord server and keep @ notifications on for their league chat from September through the end of the season. If you are unsure how to check this, please DM Nate or Blake in Discord for directions. Your league chat will be your home base for all communications related to the APL all season long.

Winning your league and scoring more fantasy points than others in the same tier will result in promotion up the tiers. The promotion/relegation plan will be released early in-season after all leagues are set.
